FAQs

What is mediation?

Mediation is a tool to resolve workplace conflict or dispute. It is less formal than traditional grievance, disciplinary or employment tribunals. Mediation enables individuals in conflict to hold open conversations, empathise with each other and ultimately find solutions to re-establish working relationships.

Where is Resolved based?

Resolved is based in the north west of England. We cover Liverpool, Manchester and everywhere in between! We also work outside of this area although we do ask for expenses for journeys over more than 30 miles.

Are your mediators accredited?

Yes, our mediators are fully accredited by UK Mediation and also Total Conflict Management Group.

Does mediation work?

Mediation has proven to be successful when compared to other more formal grievance procedures. Where traditional grievance practices bring situations to a resolution in less that 25% of cases, accredited mediators achieve a signed agreement in over 93% of cases.

How long does mediation take?

Our mediation process is completed in one working day. Different models have varying timelines but at Resolved we find mediation works best when the process is completed within a day. This has the added benefit of individuals spending the minimum time possible outside of their businesses.

Where does mediation take place?

Mediation can take place on or off an organisation’s site but should always be somewhere neutral and suitably confidential. If you are unsure of the best place to hold mediation, please contact us and we will be able to advise. Additional charges may be applied if meeting room hire is required.
